Dimapur, July 12: Zunheboto district received 16 oxygen concentrators (10 litre) from United Way India, Mumbai on July 12.
The free aid, which was initiated by Deputy Commissioner of Zunheboto, Peter Lichamo, comes as a major boost mainly for the sub-divisions of the district as the concentrators would be provided to PHCs and CHCs, informed the DC and Dy. CMO, Dr Akaho Sema.
United Way India, affiliated to the Global United Way network, “the world’s largest privately-funded, non-profit organisation”, improves lives by mobilising the caring power of communities to advance the common good and the organisation operates with the belief that ‘we rise or fall together’, according to a DIPR bulletin.
The consignment was later handed over to Dy. CMO by DC Zunheboto.
