Zoommax 2019 fest underway

Dimapur, February 13: With the theme “Reinvent Your Thinking” the School of Management Studies, Nagaland University in association with Ramietech Solutions celebrated its 10th Annual Management Fest: ZOOMMAX 2019 at the State Academy Hall, Kohima on Wednesday. The fest will culminate on February 14.
Special guest, Assistant Commissioner, Kohima, Vineet Kumar, IAS, in his speech encouraged the students to never let opportunities pass by. He said that in order to become successful, students need to keep five things in mind: have a purpose in life because directionless life would lead to nowhere. Secondly they should always try to fulfill their dreams and have faith and trust in what one believes. He also challenged the students to never fear while making mistakes. Fourthly, he mentioned that they should know the price that they are going to pay for their dreams because it is not easy. Lastly, he told the students to stand out and not copy someone else’s success.
While sharing about his past experiences, he mentioned that reinventing his thinking led him to success. Therefore, he urged the students to keep the theme in mind because it would help them along in the future.
Convener ZOOMMAX 2019, Akangjungshi Jamir, in his short speech, said that ZOOMMAX is an Annual Management Fest (solely) organized and hosted by the School of Management Studies, Nagaland University. It is non-profit festival with the objective to offer a platform for the students to explore and express their talents and skills in various activities. The event also provides platform to the management students to put classroom learning into practice, to nurture management skills through real time situations.
The First ZOOMMAX Fest was held in the year 2009. Since its inception, it has created a legacy of excellence. It is now the largest management fest in the State with more than 500 participants and 2000 footfall. It is also the most awaited and anticipated annual event.
Asst. Professor, Department of Management, NU, Dr Ditalak Mpanme gave a short oration about the School of Management Studies and highlighted about the various scope in Management field.
Later in the programme, Miss Fresher NUSU 2018, Monikha Gogoi presented a special song.
