DIMAPUR, FEBRUARY 6: The Dimapur District Planning and Development Board meeting was held on February 6, in the conference hall of DC Dimapur under the Chairmanship of Advisor, Zhaleo Rio.
In the meeting Zhaleo impressed upon the members to attend the meetings regularly, reminding them about the importance of the forum where policies and programmes of the government are implemented.
‘Depute your subordinate officer if you cannot attend the meeting due to unavoidable reasons,’ he advised the members. Zhaleo also expressed gratitude to the members for their participation and encouraged them for sharing their constructive ideas freely.
He further advised the members to convey the right information to the public with regard to the ongoing COVID-19 vaccination and also stressed on the need for compulsory use of face masks.
In the meeting DC Dimapur, Rajesh Soundararajan requested the HODs to ensure that their staff get vaccinated when their turns come. ‘The number of Covid cases is decreasing generally, but we should not think that the pandemic is over,’ Soundararajan maintained.
He reminded that the focus of the vaccination would be served only when the majority of population gets vaccinated. He further advised the HODs to go for cloth banners during any programmes as the Government has banned the use of flex banners.
Highlighting on COVID-19 scenario in the district, CMO Dimapur informed that the total cases stand at 6474 with 6312 recoveries and 28 active cases. She further informed that the 2nd phase of vaccination drive will start on February 9, with 12000 registered beneficiaries.
