ZGC condoles

Dimapur, April 9: Zunheboto Government College held a condolence service to pay last tribute to Dr P Pandey, who passed away last night at his home town in Madurai. Dr Pandey has served as Assistant Professor for more than 30 years at the Department of Political Science in Zunheboto Government College.

Dr K Nishena Nekha Principal, ZGC said that Dr Pandey as a very down to earth person and always wanted the best for the college. He retired in the beginning of 2020.
Vice principal, Zhekugha Sema on behalf of the ministerial staff stated that everyone was eagerly waiting for Dr Pandey’s return to the district and college but it was very unfortunate that God had some other plans.
Dr Phukato Sema, Assistant Professor and President ZGCTA also spoke during the event on behalf of all the teacher he said that he was the most senior among the faculty and posses a fatherly nature.
Dr Sema said late Dr Pandey he served for 30 years in the college and have also served as an executive member in the Zunheboto Government College Parents Teachers Association.
Students from the Department of Political Science while delivering the condolence speech at the event said that it was unfortunate for everyone to hear his sudden demise, his guidance and teachings were something to be remembered and thanked him for everything that he has done for the welfare of the if the students.
Topeka General Secretary, ZGCSU while speaking during the event said that he was the kind of teacher who always shows kindness and sympathy towards the students.

Dr T Chandrashekharan, who was his close friend said that he couldn’t believe it that his friend was no more. He said that he was now free from all the responsibilities as he got retired and wanted to meet the students and the faculty once again but sadly now that could not happen.
Other teachers and friends also delivered words of gratitude and condolence message. Holoka T Sumi former student and former GS also spoke at the event
