Dimapur, October 30: Zeliangrong civil organizations have appealed to the Government of India and the Working Committee of NNPGs to respect the voice of the Naga people and conclude the Indo-Naga political issue at the earliest.
The Zeliangrong civil organizations that extended support to the WC NNPGs include Zeliangrong Baudi (AMN), Zeliangrong Youth Front and Zeliangrong Student’s Union.
In a press release, the Zeliangrong orgs said the Naga national movement founded by Haipou Jadonang has been dragging on for many decades experiencing many ups and downs but is now ready for conclusion as per statement made by Indo-Naga political talk Interlocutor RN Ravi. It said the political statement made by the interlocutor is “significant” at this juncture and urged all Nagas longing for Naga political settlement to rise above group interest or individual inclination and come together to get the settlement at this given time.
The Zeliangrong orgs urged the political groups spearheading and engaging in the political negotiation with GoI to value the unflinching support and contribution of the Naga people for so many decades on top priority and utilize the given time and situation wisely so as to meet the aspiration of the Naga people without any further delay.
“Adopting any delay tactic by any political group or deviating from the common aspiration of the Naga people at this given time forgetting the suffering of the Naga people will not usher to conducive atmosphere therefore, the hope of the Naga people to get relief by the outcome of the Indo-Naga political negotiation should be honoured and respected and whatever points agreed by negotiating parties during the course of negotiation for the last many years should be settled at the earliest,” it added.
