Zeliangrong frontal orgs meet Niki Sumi

Dimapur, April 26: A delegation of Zeliangrong frontal organisations of Assam, Manipur and Nagaland including officials of Zeliangrong Union (AMN), All Zeliangrong Students Union (AMN) and Rongmei Naga Students’ Organisation called on Gen. (Retd.) Niki Sumi, President of NSCN/GPRN and Starson Lamkang, Ato Kilonser of NSCN/GPRN, at Dimapur on April 26.
A press release from the Naga group informed that their collective leadership reaffirmed its stand on peace and unity of all sections of the Naga society and reminded the tribal leaders that the NSCN/GPRN stands for unity first, solution second.
The collective leadership reiterated that Naga people of all Naga-inhabited area must be one in spirit and in deeds and seek the inherent rights of the people.
Urging the tribal leaders to continue to strive for united Nagas, the collective leadership pointed out that leaders of the Naga civil societies have a crucial role to play to bring the Naga people for one common goal.
The Zeliangrong delegation expressed solidarity to Naga people’s desire for peace and unity among the Nagas irrespective of boundary demarcation and for solution to the age-old Naga political struggle.
