Nagaland News

Dimapur, May 21: YouthNet, in collaboration with Asian Paints Color Academy, has launched the second batch of the ‘Wall Pro’ basic construction painter course today at the YouthNet Main Office in Kohima. The 6-day training programme aims to equip the youth of Nagaland with essential painting skills, thereby enhancing their employability in the construction sector.
YouthNet has partnered with Asian Paints, one of India’s leading paint companies, to bring the “Colour Academy” initiative to Nagaland as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program. Since the beginning of their collaboration in 2018, YouthNet and Asian Paints Limited have focused on empowering youth through skill development initiatives, particularly in the construction sector.
The basic painter training programme targets the training of 120 youth participants across Nagaland, with dedicated training centers in Kohima and Chümoukedima-Dimapur.
To further boost the construction sector in Nagaland, YouthNet is set to introduce plumbing training in partnership with Asian Paints’ “Plumbing Guru Program Bathsense” beginning from May 28.
