Youngsters lift 1st open Super Six Cricket tourney

Dimapur, March 14: Youngsters lifted the 1st Open Super Six Cricket Tournament defeating NV Press in the finals at the Ruzuhukhrie Government Higher Secondary School Ground, Kohima on Sunday.


Batting first, Youngsters set a target of 52 runs in 6 overs. N. V Press managed to score 37 runs in the allotted 6 overs. Bishal was declared the man of the match.
Earlier, in the pre-quarter round, NV Press and K.O.D.H won their respective matches against W. E. L. P and M. C Aloo. In the first quarter final match, Youngsters defeated Silverbacks by 3 wickets. In other quarter final matches, B. R. T. F (A) defeated Sunari Union and X. L Red academy won against Jagaurnauts.
In the first semi final, Youngsters beat B. R. T. F(A) by 2 wickets while N. V Press defeated X. L Red by 16 runs in the other semi final.
An exhibition match was also played between the organizer, United Brothers and the sponsors, which was won by the former. (Page News Service)
