Dimapur, June 6: Nagaland Wushu Association will be conducting selection trial on June 13 at IG Stadium Kohima. This has been initiated in order to select the best players for the upcoming 32nd Senior National Wushu Championship 2023 scheduled to be held from June 26 to July 1 at Pune, Maharashtra.
The NWA, in a press release, stated that the selection trial will be conducted in the weight categories of 48 kg, 52 kg, 56kg, 60 kg, 65 kg, 70 kg, 75 kg, 80 kg, 85 kg, 90 kg, 90+ kg for men and 45 kg, 48 kg, 52 kg, 56 kg, 60 kg, 65 kg, 70 kg, and 75 kg for women.
The Association stated that gold medal winners in this National Championship will get automatic qualification to National Games 2023 scheduled for October last week and the first week of November 2023 at Goa.
In this regard, all affiliated units have been requested to prepare players for selection trials. The players list should be submitted to Nagaland Wushu Association office in person or send to 9863238620 or 9916580774 latest by June 12.
