Dimapur, April 25: The Western Sumi Youth Front (WSYF) visited ongoing construction site for Working Women Hostel under the Minority Affairs Department at Niuland town.
On inspection, the WSYF found no construction activities going on at the said site and on enquiry, it was informed that works were halted for the past three weeks.
As such, the WSYF appeal Niuland administration to investigate as to why the said work was suspended and take necessary steps to resume construction works at the earliest.
The front further urged contractor to work as per the DPR, use quality materials and not to compromise with workmanship. The said works should be completed within the specified timeframe in the work order and handover the same to concern department for public consumption, the WSYF said adding it would not remain a mere spectator if the same is not adhered to.
The WSYF assured its full cooperation for smooth execution of the works and would continue to monitor the construction till completion.
