WSYF concerned over lack of basic facilities for healthcare workers at Niuland, Kuhuboto

Nagaland News

Dimapur, May 24: While appreciating the state Government for announcing additional incentives for the healthcare workers, the Western Sumi Youth Front (WSYF) has expressed concern at the lack of basic facilities for healthcare workers at Niuland and Kuhuboto health centres, where there is no supply of face masks, faceshileds, gloves, sanitizers, PPEs and adequate oxygen.

The WSYF said Niuland has only three oxygen cylinders while Kuhuboto has only two, which are both in use.
Given the distance from Dimapur, the WSYF appealed to DTF Dimapur and the CMO Dimapur to provide better facilities at the two health centres in the interest of the citizens of the two areas.
The WSYF, however, appreciated the tireless services rendered by the frontline workers especially the health workers in every nook and corner of the state during the pandemic.
Meanwhile, the Front expressed gratitude to the Nodal Officer, Y. Kikheto Sema, IAS and his team for visiting Niuland and taking stock of the health facilities. As the Nodal Officer had seen the pitiable state of the health centre, the WSYF also appealed to him to intervene and deliver necessary facilities to Niuland and Kuhuboto.
The WSYF said it is ever ready to assist Team Dimapur in all possible ways as and when needed. (Page News Service)
