Dimapur, December 4: The Western Sumi Students’ Union (WSSU) has opposed to formation of any new Sumi students’ organisation or union under its jurisdiction without its consent.
In a press release issued on Saturday, the Union stated that a new students’ organisation has been formed under Niuland District. It asserted that the Union will not entertain the functioning of any such organisation without prior consent.
“WSSU consisting of 10 units and 1 sub-unit covering 3 districts namely, Dimapur, Niuland and Chümoukedima, is an apex students’ organisation of the western Sumis. WSSU also directs all its units and sub-units to refrain from taking part insuch self-styled organisations”, it stated. (Page News Service)
