Dimapur, March 26: The Wozhuro Range Students Union has temporarily barred entry of visitors and peoples having a travel history from other part of the countries or within the country without proper authentic clearance record from any authority. However movements for basic essentials like groceries and medical will be exempted.
In a release, the union extended support to the decision taken by WRPO on March 14 to ban hunting and poaching within its jurisdiction. However it rued the fact that hunting has increased with the lockdown by the Government, ”as some people are negatively taking advantage of this to do such illegal practices making it an occasion for picnic and merry making.”
Taking serious note of the same, the union informed that unnecessary public movements, hunting, poaching and picnicking within its Jurisdiction is prohibited until further notice. The union said it will closely co-ordinate and monitor with all the concerned village authorities and necessary agencies to penalize the defaulters.
The union further urged responsible citizens to cooperate with the Government agencies and follow the guidelines for ensuring safety and well-being of Wozhuro. (Page News Service)
