World Day Against Human Trafficking observed in Peren District

Dimapur, August 1: The District Level Centre for Women under ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’ in collaboration with District administration Peren organized an online essay competition under Peren District on the topic ‘Break the Silence, Break the Chains’ as part of the World Day Against Human Trafficking in Persons on July 30. Altogether 12 students from the category of 9-12 participated in the competition.
On behalf of DC Peren, EAC Peren & EAC Jalukie handed over the prize to the best three winners. The first prize was bagged by Lemchila of Government Higher Secondary School, Peren; 2nd – Suiyidaule of Pranab Vidyapith Hr. Sec. School, Dimapur and 3rd – Iheichu Haibwang of Government Hr. Sec. School. The winners were given Rs 3000, Rs 2000 and Rs 1000.
Jalukie: In commemoration of the World Day Against Human Trafficking in Person, Peren District administration and District Level Centre for Women in collaboration with CHILDLINE Peren organized a stickers campaign cum distribution of free sanitary mask under the theme ‘Committed to the cause – Working on the frontline to end human trafficking’ to all the frontline workers and general public on July 30 at Jalukie Town.
During the campaign, Women Welfare Officer, Peren & Centre Coordinator, CHILDLINE Peren along with the team sensitized the public on do’s and dont’s, safety measures of public hygiene and social distancing.
