World Consumer Rights Day observed at Immanuel College


Dimapur, March 18: On the occasion of World Consumer Rights Day (WCRD) on March 15, the Department of Economics, Immanuel College Dimapur conducting various events to observe the day.
It started with an awareness campaign about the rights of consumers and their protection under relevant law in India and students distributed pamphlets with information about ‘Basic Rights for Every Consumer in India.’
Along with the written information, the students also explained various issues related with consumer rights.
A survey called, ‘The Alert Consumer Test’ was also conducted among the student and staff of the college. Held under the supervision of the faculty, the aim of the survey was to capture and to evaluate their awareness about consumer rights and how active often they exercise such rights.
More than 150 samples were collected for the survey. The day ended with light refreshment.
