Dimapur, March 29: With the objective to observe quality health care services on VHND, National Health Mission Kiphire, under the aegis of Health and Family Welfare Department, a two days training workshop on VHND on reorientation and planning of health workers under Kiphire district was held on March 27&28.
At the launching programme, DC Kiphire, M Shayung Phom stated that health is not only consuming medicine but a holistic approach to life. He reminded the health workers that Government initiative to implement programme is to let health workers to deliver quality health services to the people.
ADC Kiphire, Reny Wilfred IAS encouraged the trainees and participants to create footprint in the place they work. He stated that “when you keep your village healthy, you are keeping your family healthy” and thanked the UNICEF initiatives in collaborating such programmes.
According to District Media Officer, Atsali T the training workshop was conducted by Dr. Longri Kichu RMNCH+A State Consultant, Dr. Maulik Shah, Health Officer and Dr. Rakesh Singh, Regional Immunisation Consultant UNICEF. The programme was attended by District administration, ASHAS, AWWs, ANMs and MOs, social welfare department, DPRO staffs, NGOs, CMO’s staffs and DH staffs.
