
Dimapur, February 9: A 1-day workshop on “Start-Up Entrepreneurship-2023” in collaboration with Confederation of Indian Industry, Start-Up, Educentre and Young Indian was organised by the Department of Economics, St. Joseph University on February 9 at the University Auditorium.
The resource persons were eminent entrepreneurs Er. Rishav Sethi – HoC NIIT, Opangtongdang Jamir – fashion model, Viseino Basumatari – co-founder of Saucy Joe’s, Er. Awalo Keppen – Assistant Manager NTTC, Albert A. Sangtam – Founder and Director Clefnote Music Academy, Imtisunep Lonchar- Ilandlo Services Pvt. Ltd and Lezo Putsure – Founder and CEO Educentre School and Business. The programme was chaired by Alebu Tsukru of M.A 4th Semester.
The objective of the programme was to make the students aware about the “Entrepreneurship Start-up”, encourage and motivate them to start their own business and to be a successful entrepreneur themselves, which will boost the inner urge to become self-employed in the future and to be a “job creators” and not a “job seekers. More than 100 students along with the staff and management attended the programme.
