Workshop on national children science congress held

Dimapur, June 24: A one day state level resource person’s workshop of the National Children Science Congress was organized and conducted by the Nagaland Institute of Health, Environment & Social Welfare (NIHESW) Kohima at the DIC conference hall Kohima on June 22. Jayanta Kumar Sharma, member of the National Academy Committee of the National Children Science Congress (NCSC) was the resource person.
The focal theme of the NCSC for the year 2018 & 19 is “Science, Technology and Innovation for Clean, Green and Healthy Nation” and children from all the country will work on and present projects under this theme at the district, state and national level congress. The NCSC is a programme of the NCSTC, DST, GoI, New Delhi.
The inaugural program was chaired by Santu Thapa, state coordinator, welcome address was delivered by Dr Vizovol Mekro, Honorary Director NIHESW, introduction to NCSC by Dr Pallav Changkakotti, State Academic Coordinator and vote of thanks was pronounced by Kezevitonou Pienyu, general secretary, NIHESW.
