Dimapur, March 1: Nagaland women defeated Jammu & Kashmir by 11 runs in a low scoring match in the Women’s Senior 1-day trophy 2019-20 played at Siechem Stadium, Puducherry on Sunday.
Put in to bat first after losing the toss, Nagaland women failed to get going as the team was bowled out for 72 in 32.2 overs, with only Madhumonti reaching the double digit mark scoring 36 runs. The next highest scorer for Nagaland was Trishna with 7.
For J&K, Nadia claimed 3 wickets while Sarla and Sandhya took 2 wickets each.
Chasing the relatively easy target, J&K innings collapsed to be bowled out for 66 in 46.2 overs, with Sheerazah top scoring with 15 and Meenu contributing 11.
