Dimapur, April 3: In the last match of Round XI of Plate Group, Womens Cricket U-23 One Day league at KIIT Stadium, Bhubaneswar, Nagaland defeated Mizoram by huge margin of 9 wickets.
Winning the toss and electing to bat, Mizoram were all out at 80 in 47.4 overs. Sandhya Kumar and Omomi contributed 10 and 15 runs respectively.
Sariba of Nagaland claimed 4 wickets, while Sheetal took 3. One wicket each went into the bag of Merensola and Tulika.
In reply, Nagaland scored 82 at the loss of 1 wicket in 18.2 overs. Tulika and Vaincy remained unbeaten at 32 and 17 respectively.
For Mizoram, S Yadav took 1 wicket.
Out of 8 matches in the Plate Group, Nagaland won 6 (against Manipur, Meghalaya, Pudduchery, Mizoram, Sikkim and Arunachal) but lost to Bihar and Uttrakhand.
