DIMAPUR, JANUARY 21: Despite the Union Health Ministry’s recent directive to conduct COVID-19 vaccinations only on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday every week, Nagaland on Thursday obtained ‘special permission’ to continue the immunization in Kohima and Mon.
A press release from the State’s Health department informed that 254 healthcare workers in the two districts were injected with the vaccine in 9 sessions.
With this, the total number of healthcare workers in Nagaland to receive the Covishield vaccine without any adverse events reached 4224 on Thursday, it informed.
“The Covishield vaccine has gone through all phases of clinical trials and it has been found to be safe for use in general population,” the department stated.
