Dimapur, September 6: Wokha District Consumer Rights Organisation (WDCRO) on September 4 had an annual meeting-cum-picnic at Doyang.
During the event, WDCRO highlighted various issues to initiate and strengthen the markets for the interest and welfare of Wokha district consumers.
Abel Enni, President of WDCRO, said that slaughterhouses will be strictly checked as most of the slaughterhouses are found below the criteria of food safety instructions.
Various unhygienic slaughterhouses and various hotels will be intensively surveyed by WDCRO since the organisation exists for the health and welfare of consumers.
Meanwhile, report of LPG cooking gas shortage at Wokha was intimidated by WDCRO to the office of Deputy Commissioner.
During the meeting, the WDCRO affirmed to work for the interest of Wokha district consumers, seek cooperation and support from the citizens of Wokha district. (Page News Service)
