Dimapur, March 7: The Western Chakhesang Mothers Association has greeted Naga women on the occasion of International Women’s Day on the theme ‘Embrace Equity’ or #EmbraceEquity.
“And as we honour the incredible accomplishments of women worldwide today, we are overjoyed because this year, two of our very own Naga women- Salhoutuonuo Kruse and Hekani Jakhalu Kense- have created history with their victory in the recent general elections. We are immensely proud of them and we take this opportunity to congratulate and wish them the best,” said WCMA president S.Nezolu Rhakho in her greeting.
“At the same time, we want to acknowledge that their victories would not have been possible without the support of the men folk. We want to thank the men and the people of Nagaland for believing in Kruse and Jakhalu’s capabilities and trusting them with your mandate. It is a clear indication that our Naga society is indeed truly embracing equity,” she added.
