Wangkhao Govt College observes Constitution Day

Dimapur, November 26: In commemoration of the Constitution Day 2020, Online Essay Competition on the topic “Freedom of Speech: Foundation of Democracy as well as basic Human Rights” was organized by the Department of Political Science, Wangkhao Government College Mon.
The Constitution Day is celebrated in India to value and protect the rich heritage of composite culture, promote harmony and the spirit of brotherhood amongst the diverse people living in the country. It also acts as a reminder to us regarding our responsibility towards upholding the constitutional ideals, values and principles enshrined in the constitution of India.
As India celebrates the Constitution Day on November 26, the Department of Political Science of Wangkhao Government College, Mon also commemorated this auspicious day in a special way. The Department has organised Online Essay competition under the topic “Freedom of Speech: Foundation of Democracy as well as basic Human Rights” wherein students from the following institutions have participated – Wangkhao Govt. College, GHSS ‘A’, GHSS ‘B’, St. John Higher Secondary School, DonBosco Higher Secondary School and Konjong Higher Secondary School.
