
Dimapur, September 5: The Konyak Union constituted a Committee for NAAC Assessment Preparedness (CoNAP) spearheaded by the Konyak Gazetted Officer’s Union (KGOU), Mon Hq with Deputy Resident Commissioner, Nagaland House, New Delhi, Wennyie Konyak as the Convenor of the Committee. The CoNAP granted assistance through the purchase of the following items: 50 nos of 3 seater desk and bench; 100 nos of armless plastic chairs; 100 nos of plastic chairs with arms; and one 2KVA inverter set to be donated through the CoNAP for the Academic Building.
The CoNAP under the aegis of KGOU also constructed a waiting shed within the college premises which was inaugurated on September 4 by Vice President, KGOU, Chenkang Salym with a dedicatory prayer by KBBB Evangelist, Langphong. The waiting shed was an immediate requirement of the college as well as fulfilling one of the criteria as laid down under the NAAC Assessment.
Principal, Wangkao College, Dr. I. Wati Imchen while stressing on the importance of higher education in his speech also expressed his gratitude to the KGOU for the waiting shed and other amenities required by the college. (Page News Service)
