WADSA to celebrate Golden Jubilee

Dimapur, January 9: The Western Angami ‘D’ Sports Association (WADSA) is celebrating 50th anniversary at Kiruphema village Ground, Peducha from January 12 to15. During the four day celebration, Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio and MLA, Keneizhakho Nakhro, have consented to be Special Guest and Guest of Honour.
The WADSA consists of 5 villages with 7 village councils. This year in commemoration of Golden Jubilee there will be 700 players participating in several events like Football, Volleyball and Athletics- both men and women.
On the inaugural day there will be a Naga Wrestling competition-in the categories of Senior and Junior.
On January 14 there will be a Marathon race from Chapru-National Highway-29 to main ground. The race will be flagged off by President Sechu Zubza Gazetted Officers’ Krotho, Mr. Neivikuolie Kuotsu.
The patrons for Day-2 and 3 are Ganeiu Sirie, Former WADSA President and NPF General Secretary, Central HQ Kohima, and Viliehu Nguzhu, Former ASA President and Director (Retd) Soil & Water Conservation Department, Government of Nagaland.
Sedeneikho Shosahie has been nominated as Convenor, Organising Committee.
The organizing committee has requested all participants to reach the host village by evening of January 11, 2022.
