Kohima, January 7: Vivotso Theyo today won the 6th Nagaland Open Pcheda competition organised by Tragopan Club at Viswema village.
Altogether 85 competitors from different community participated in the competition. The second position went to Neisal Theyo while Kidese Theyo and Villo Naleo bagged the third and fourth position respectively.
Nokhrul Vitsu bagged the viewers’ choice award and Vikuo Metha as the oldest participant.
Additional Development Commissioner, Planning and Coordination Department, Nosazol Charles graced the occasion as special guest in presence of Advisor for youth resources and sports, Er Zale Neikha, who is also a former president of Tragopan Club.
Addressing the gathering, Nosazol encouraged the organizers to promote and practice indigenous games which are rarely being practiced. He also challenged the youngsters to actively participate in other indigenous games and also work towards making Viswema village as one of the first indigenous game village in the State.
Chairman R Khel of Viswema Village Kehise Kin gracing the valedictory function exhorted the gathering and also distributed the awards.
