Nagaland finishes 2nd in group
Dimapur, October 22: In the last match of the Vinoo Mankad U-19 One Day tournament for the Palate Group, Nagaland trashed Mizoram by 162 runs and thus finished second in the group.
Bihar being the top team qualified for the knock-out stage.
Nagaland put up an exceptional show in the tournament defeating Manipur, Arunachal, Sikkim Pudducherry, Meghalaya and Mizoram, drew with Uttrakhand due to bad weather and lost only to Bihar (6 wins, one drawn and one loss). The team is returning home on Tuesday.
This is the best performance till now in the session 2018-19 by a Nagaland team. Earlier in the Vijay Hazare Senior Mens Team, Nagaland won 5 matches and lost 3.
