Villagers trained on integrated aquaculture

Dimapur, March 4: A skill development training under TSP programme on “Integrated Aquaculture” organized by ICAR Central Institute of Fisheries Education in collaboration with Department of Fisheries was held on February 28 at Hopongyu Memorial Hall, Kiphire with ADC Kiphire Wilfred Reny, IAS as the special guest.
Remy lamented that officers were not performing their duty satisfactorily and told them to be more diligent and efficient in their work. He also informed the farmers that a proposal letter will be sent for setting up of three hectares of land for fishery pond.
Resource persons were Dr. Sujata Sahoo, Dr. B.K. Mahapatra, Dr. A. Biswas and Mhomo Murray SDFO Kiphire. Dr. Sujata Sahoo informed the trainers that their main focus is to educate the farmers and students especially the entrepreneurs living in North East.
Altogether 50 farmers from Kiphire villages attended the training. (Page News Service)
