Dimapur, October 17: Nagaland took a huge 195 runs lead against Manipur on Day-1 of the Vijay Merchant U-16 match played at Sovima today.
Electing to bat first after winning the toss, Manipur boys were bowled out for 83 in 35 overs, with Khrievitso Kense taking 5 wicket for 15 runs and Neizekho Rüpreo scalping 3 wickets. For Manipur, Somokanta scored 26 runs and Thoiba Ningthoujam 25 runs.
At the close of Day-1play, Nagaland were 278/5 thereby taking a huge 195 lead going into Day-2. For Nagaland

State women loses to Hyderabad
Nagaland lost to Hyderabad by 8 wickets at the ongoing Senior Women T-20 match played at Mumbai.
Put in to bat after losing the toss, Nagaland scored a paltry 97 runs for the loss of 3 wickets, with only Nazma showing some intention to score runs and making 61 runs of the team’s total of 97.
Chasing the small target, Hyderabad overhauled the total in 14.1 overs for the loss of only 2 wickets. For Hyderabad, Sravanthi Naidu scored 39 and Mamtha Kanojia – 28.
