Nagaland U-16 beat Mizoram by 113 runs
Dimapur, November 4: Nagaland has been performing well in all categories of cricket as the Under-16 team playing the Vijay Merchant U-16 trophy at Golaghat registered a win against Mizoram by 113 runs and an inning.
Batting first, Mizoram were all out at 58 in their 1st innings with Sahil and Priyansh scoring 22 and 14 runs respectively. Their innings were shattered by excellent bowling attack by Ranjen, who claimed 5 wickets. Ezaz took 2 wickets while Arjun and Jatin 1 each.
Nagaland scored 225 for 7 and declared their first innings. Yash and Yugandhar contributed 47 and 66 runs respectively while Sujal scored 23, Jatin 23, Sanjeev 12 and Arjun 14.
For Mizoram, Gilbert, Priyansh and Rinsanga took 2 wickets each while Sahil claimed 1 wicket.
In the 2nd innings Mizoram faltered again against the bowling attack of Nagaland and were all out at 54.
For Nagaland, Ezaz and Sanjeev took 3 wickets each, while Arjun took 2, Odilemba and Ranjen 1 each.
