DIMAPUR, FEBRUARY 25: Nagaland suffered a 84-run defeat at the hands of Assam on Thursday at the ongoing Vijay Hazare Trophy in Chennai.
Assam batted first after winning the toss and posted a total of 294 all out in 49.5 overs.
Sibsankar Roy struck a century (106) and Gokul Sharma contributed with 70. For Nagaland, Khrievitso Kense captured 4 wickets.
The chase ended in 45.2 overs as Nagaland were bundled out for 210.
Wicket-keeper batsman Chetan Bist was the highest scorer with 57.
The duo of Rajjakuddin Ahmed and Amlanjyoti Das took 2 wickets each for Assam.
Nagaland will play against Manipur next on February 27.
