Vijay Hazare Trophy: Hundreds from Rongsen & Mundhe guide Nagaland to easy win

DIMAPUR, MARCH 1: Centuries from captain Jonathan Rongsen and guest player SS Mundhe helped Nagaland defeat Arunachal Pradesh by 7 wickets at the Vijay Hazare Trophy in Chennai on Monday.


Batting first after winning the toss, Arunachal Pradesh put 285 runs on the board in 50 overs, propelled by a century from Rahul Dalal, who struck 138.
Turning in a fine all-round performance, Mundhe collected 4 wickets.
The chase was an easy one for Nagaland as Jonathan Rongsen and Mundhe, who scored 113 and 102 respectively, ensured that the target was achieved with more than 7 overs to spare. Stuart Binny contributed with an unbeaten 55.
Women’s senior squad
Meanwhile, the Nagaland Cricket Association has released the squad list for women’s senior one day trophy 2020-21.
