Dimapur, February 23: Nagaland continued its winning streak in the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2020-21 by defeating Mizoram in its 2nd match today by 29 runs.
Elected to bat first, Nagaland put up a huge score of 347 in the stipulated 50 riding on a brilliant 80 runs by Stuart Binny. Sedezhalie Rupreo and Jonathan Rongsen contributed 65 and 62 runs respectively while Hokaito scored 33 runs, Chetan Bist 31 and SS Mundhe 30 runs.
For Mizoram, Varte Kima claimed 5 wickets, while G Lalbaikvela, Pratik Desai & Bobby took 1 wicket each.
In reply to Nagaland score of 347, two brilliant centuries by Pratik Desai (141) and Taruwar Kohli (108) runs went into vain as the team managed to score only 318 runs at the loss of 6 wickets in the stipulated 50 overs. K B Pawan was unbeaten at 40.
For Nagaland, Stuart Binny, Nagaho Chishi & Khrievitso Kense claimed 2 wickets each.
