Vested interests trying to foment division in Sumi community: WSH

Nagaland News

DIMAPUR, FEBRUARY 21: The Western Sumi Hoho (WSH) has warned of “certain impostors” masquerading as Western Sumi Students Union (WSSU) officials, and pointed fingers at “vested interests who are all hell bent to bring discord, disharmony and disunity amongst the Sumi community”.

In a press release issued on Sunday, the organization stated that the impostors are in no way endorsed or recognized by the WSH and the Western Sumi Kukami Hoho (WSKH) or any of its frontal organizations.
“The only authentic and the bonafide WSSU endorsed and recognized by WSH, WSKH and all frontal organizations is the one led by Kughato Achumi as the president, and he has been officially installed on February 9 2021 at WSSU office at Thahekhu in the presence of WSH, WSKH and frontal organization president and officials.
“Kughato Achumi obediently paved the way for Kakiho Awomi to be the WSSU president during the last tenure. It was only because of the pandemic and the Iockdown situation prevalent last year that Kughato Achumi could not be installed otherwise Kughato Achumi should have now even completed almost a year as the WSSU president. Some individuals with vested interests who are all hell bent to bring discord, disharmony and disunity amongst the Sumi community are fomenting this division and problem,” read the statement.
It informed everyone not to entertain any WSSU group other than the one led by Kughato Achumi. (Page News Service)
