Vaccine sensitization held at Mokokchung

Dimapur, July 27: Mokokchung District Task Force on COVID-19 organised a sensitisation programme on COVID-19 vaccination for all unvaccinated Government employees at Mokokchung on July 27 at Town Hall.
Delivering the keynote address, Deputy Commissioner Limawapang Jamir said that the objective in organising the programme was not to force anybody to get vaccinated but to have interactions so as to sort out and clear the minds of the people.
Dr. Yanger, who was the resource person, explained the importance and advantage of getting vaccinated. He said the only solution to combat the incoming third wave of the COVID-19 pandemic is to get every eligible individual to get vaccinated. He maintained that vaccines are proving to be efficient against hospitalisation and death, and disclosed that most COVID-19 deaths in the district were unvaccinated persons.
After the programme, 26 people were vaccinated under the supervision of DIO Mokokchung, Dr. Ayangla Saku and Dr. Yanger. (Page News Service)
