Kohima, April 3: In what can be seen as fulfilling its corporate social responsibility, V-Guard Industries Limited today donated an ambulance to Naga Hospital Authority Kohima (NHAK) in commemoration of its 40th anniversary celebration.
V-Guard based in Kochi, Kerala, is a multi-product company of electrical appliances.
Branch in-charge (NE States) V-Guard, Nilotpal Bhattacharjee officially handed over the ambulance (bolero) to Managing Director of NHAK Dr. Thorhusie Katiry.
In his brief address, Bhattacharjee informed that the company donated 40 ambulances across India to non-profit organizations and hospitals to provide emergency medical care to needy patients in commemoration of its 40th anniversary.
Accepting the support, Dr. Katiry expressed gratitude to V-Guard for coming forward to help the underprivileged people by donating an ambulance to NHAK.
Terming it as welcome and big step forward, he was hopeful that such facility will go a long way in benefiting many patients who require quick medical services. “We are going to utilize it judiciously,” Dr. Katiry said.
