Upgraded transformer installed at Tseminyu

Dimapur, February 20: The State Power Department has installed 2500 KV and 1600 KV transformer for Tseminyu town and Kandi-Asükega area respectively in the interest of the public service.
A Kandi Public Union (KPU) release said in the past, these two areas faced a lot of inconvenience due to shortage of voltage and carrying capacity. However, with the up-gradation of transformer, the consumer of these two areas will be benefited.
The KPU appreciated E-in-C C.E. Distribution & Revenue and all rank and files of Power Department Nagaland and also thanked E.E. SDO, J.E and Staff Wokha Electrical Division and J.E. Tseminyu & staff for timely intervention and replacement of newly upgraded transformer.
As stated by the Power Department most of the villages are yet to pay outstanding bills against their village, the KPU asked the consumers to clear the dues immediately to avoid disconnection. All the consumers are compulsorily responsible and bound to pay the bills as per power utilization, it said.
Also terming it as a matter of great concern that Tseminyu is still headed by JE, the KPU urged the power department to up-grade JE to SDO power in the interest of public service.
