Dimapur, December 9: The National Health Mission Employees Association Nagaland (NEA-N) will go on strike in the form of total cease work from December 15 next, if the State Government fails to release find on or before December 15.
The association informed that NHM employees have not been paid salary for three months from September to November.
In a press release, NEAN president Dr Shasinlo Magh and general secretary Kewetso Kenye said as per the directive from the Union Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, fund from the State treasury to State Health Society (NHM) account has to be transferred within 15 days on receipt of funds from Government of India. The association said the State had received the 1st instalment for the Financial Year 2018-19 from GoI.
The NEAN informed that it had earlier submitted a representation to the State Chief Secretary and chairman of governing body, State Health Society NHM for timely release of fund from the State treasury to State Health Society (NHM) within 15 days. “But the same trend of pending salaries has been followed till date which has adversely impacted the performance of NHM as well as well being of the employees,” it said.
The association appealed that the salary component should be reserved for one financial year as and when funds are received so that the employees may get their salary in time.
