Unlock-5: Nagaland Govt. announces more lockdown relaxations

DIMAPUR, AUGUST 18: The Government of Nagaland has announced more relaxation of lockdown regulations as the State enters Unlock-5 from August 19 to September 2.
However, conduct of regular classes for students of Class X & below in all schools of the State shall remain suspended, and schools will continue with the present system of online teaching. Swimming pools and cinemas shall also continue to remain closed.

In an order issued today, Chief Secretary J Alam said social, political, religious, entertainment, academic, cultural gatherings, and other public gatherings will be allowed up to a maximum of 50% capacity, subject to all participants being asymptomatic, and being fully vaccinated or have taken the 1st dose of vaccine and at least 15 days have passed, or the person has a COVID-19 negative test report done through either RT-PCR/TrueNat/CBNAAT, with the swab given for testing not earlier than 15 days.
Sports activities including competition will also be allowed with up to a maximum of 50% capacity and subject to vaccination conditions.
Government offices will function with 100% attendance of Group A and B officers on all the working days, and for other employees, the attendance will be 50%. Further, in line with the requirements for vaccination for attendance of employees and staff of the Secretariat and the Directorates, employees and staff of all the offices in the State will be required to be vaccinated against COVID-19 to attend office, and if not taken even a single dose of vaccine against COVID-19, the employee concerned will be required to produce COVID-19 negative test report every 15 days through either RT-PCR/TrueNat/CBNAAT, by getting tested at any Government facility free of charge.
The order said 2-wheeler taxi and pillion riding will be permitted, subject to the provisions, as applicable, of the earlier SOP for passenger vehicles on preventive measures to contain the spread of COVID-19.
Outdoor parks, entertainment parks, recreation areas and similar places have also been allowed to open up to a maximum of 50% capacity, and subject to all persons managing the parks and such facilities, as well as all visitors, including children, being asymptomatic, and all those who are 18 years & above following the vaccination condition. Gymnasiums have also been allowed to open up to 50% capacity.

The date for reopening of sports activities, parks and gymnasiums will be notified by the Home Department in separate SOPs.
The order added that District Task Forces (DTFs) may consider imposing stricter measures or rolling back certain relaxations in specified areas in the district, if an exceptional situation arises, and the DTF is satisfied that such measures are necessary under intimation to the Government.
