DIMAPUR, FEBRUARY 28: Unknown miscreants with arms came to the construction site of Changtongya to Dikhu Bridge, under Langpangkong jurisdiction, which is awarded to Nitin Sai Construction and took away some keys of machineries and vehicle of the construction company, besides giving a number to contact them on February 27.
Informing this, the Langpangkong Tzükong Mungdang (LTM) said that the LTM office, LTM RCC, LKM RCC immediately rushed to the spot and held an emergency meeting. They made a called to the given contact number but it was switched off.
Condemning the barbaric incident, the LTM urged those responsible to return the keys of the machineries and vehicles to LTM office on or before March 2, “failing which the LTM will take its own course of action.”
In a joint press release, LTM president, MarsanenImsong, LTM TCC convenor, Temsuwati Longkumer, LKM RCC convenor Tiakumzuk Pongen and LTM RCC member secretary, Limasangwa stated that the Langpankong Tzükong Mungdang (LTM), basing on the theme, “Lenmangaser Telongjem” has declared that the land of Langpangkong range is a tax free zone, hence no tax is allowed to pay to any person or group in the construction of roads within the Langpangkong jurisdiction.
Moreover, the LTM has constituted a committee named as Langpangkong Tzükong Mungdang Road Coordination Committee (LTM RCC) to monitor all the activities relating to the construction of roads.
