Union MoS interacts with Chumoukedima district officials

DIMAPUR, AUGUST 29: Minister of State for Railways & Textiles, Darshana Jardosh today held an interactive meeting with the Head of Departments of Chumoukedima district and sought feedbacks on the various schemes of the Central Government that are being implemented in the district.
During the meeting the MoS interacted with various Department officials and sought to know how the schemes are going on and what difficulties they are facing in implementing the schemes, so that she can convey back to the Central Government and look into the needs of the State.
The Rural Development Department informed that there were 108 villages under Chumoukedima district under it, which consists of 23469 households.
The MoS also sought to known about the status of toilets in the district and whether it was open defection free. She urged that Rural Development Department to install toilets under PMAJY scheme.
It was also informed that there are 1130 SHGs in Chumoukedima with 10415 households.
The Department of Agriculture informed that there were 3711 farmers enrolled under PM Kisan scheme. The Department also informed that 200 hectares of land under Chumukedima has been utilized for Oil Palm.
The Food and Civil Supplies Department maintained that 5 kilo rice is being distributed to the beneficiaries as per Central Government scheme, while the Health Department informed that 132820 Ayushman Bharat Cards have been distributed to the people. They also informed that Chumoukedima has 3 CHCs and 2 PHCs.
The officials informed that at present 182 dengue cases have been reported.
When the MoS asked about any issues about the Chumoukedima-Niuland road, the official from PWD (R&B) informed that there were no issues with NEC project of Chumoukedima-Niuland road
The Sericulture and Industries & Commerce Department also presented their reports.
According to DIPR report, the meeting was chaired by ADC, Chumoukedima, Dr. Kuzonyi Wideo, where he welcome the Minister and appreciated the efforts she has taken to visit Chumoukedima District.
During the interaction various Departments ~ RD, Agriculture, Social Welfare, Food & Civil Supplies, Soil, Health, Power, PWD (R&B), PHED, Sericulture, Handicraft, Industries ~ highlighted the progress of various schemes under their Departments and ongoing projects.
After the interaction with the Departments she visited the sites at Dhansiripar village for distribution of fly shuttle frame looms, weavers, inaugurated SAMARTH training programme and visited Eri Rearing village and sericulture farm at Dhansiripar Village; visited Diezephe craft village; visited Sovima M/S Heirloom Naga, HL&HC Design & Development centre; visited Dragon fruit farm at Chumoukedima and Jan Jal Mission at Kirha village respectively.
Meanwhile, talking to a section of media after the programme at Dhansiripar, she said that she was satisfied with the presentation made by different Departments during the interactive meeting at Chumoukedima. However, she admitted that there were some issues with “linkages”.
She said that the Central schemes have to be linked with the banks only, adding there were some issues with the bank account because Jan Dhan Yojana is the first priority of the Government. Every scheme and every beneficiary take benefit through bank. There are some issues with the linkages with Aadhaar card issue, but it would be sorted out, she assured. (Page News Service)
