Dimapur, April 4: In regards to the decision taken by Government of India to provide a onetime ex-gratia payment of Rs 500 per month for the next 3 months, starting April 1, to all women Pradhan Mantri Jan DhanYojana (PMJDY) account holders through the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana (PMGKY Package, the Department of Urban Development Nagaland has requested all Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) in the state to communicate the decision of the Centre and create widespread widespread awareness of the scheme and also facilitate withdrawal of funds by the beneficiaries in an orderly manner adhering to the norms of social distancing.
ULBs have been asked to consult the Rural Development Department in the District/Sub-Division to ascertain that funds are deposited into the beneficiaries account.
Action Taken Report on the matter is to be communicated to the Department of Urban Development for further action. (Page News Service)
