Dimapur, December 20: Nagaland U-23 boys took a slender 59 runs lead against Sikkim at stumps on Day-2 of the ongoing Men’s U-23 Col CK Nayudu Trophy 2019-20 played at the Nagaland Cricket Stadium, Sovima.
Batting first, Nagaland was bowled out for 280 in 110.4 overs, with Wahid making a fine century (121), and Joshua contributing 45. For Sikkim, Sandeep and Md Saptula took 3 wickets each.
Coming out to bat, Sikkim was 221/7 at the end of the 2nd days play. For Sikkim, Md Sharma top scored with 52. Hopongkyu of Nagaland took 5 wickets.
Cooch Behar Trophy
Meanwhile in the Men’s U-19 Cooch Behar Trophy 2019-20, Nagaland was leading by 136 runs against Chandigarh.
Batting first, the State boys were bowled out for 163 in 56.2 overs, with Vipul top scoring with 65 and Yugandhar making 35 runs. For Chandigarh, Yuvraj took a fifer and Rajangad scalped 3 wickets.
Coming out to bat, Chandigarh made a cautious 26 with all wickets intact in the remaining 8 overs play on Day-1.
