TYO reiterates ban on hunting


Dimapur, July 8: Inspite of the ban imposed by the Tsütuonuomia Youth Organisation (TYO), Kohima Village against hunting, collection of flora and fauna, cutting of trees, firewood, fishing, dumping of earth/waste, partying, extraction of water/water pipe connection, etc., many people had been found violating the aforesaid order.
Stating that many people are found loitering in the fields and committing various offences, the TYO informed the public especially the citizens of Kohima, that in order to protect and preserve the environment and ecosystem, the organization would continue to check and penalize any person found violating the order within the traditional jurisdiction of the Khel.
It has requested the general public to cooperate and assist the Organization in checking such activities for the betterment and welfare of all adding that stringent action would be taken against anyone found committing any offence. (Page News Service)
