Dimapur, March 16: The Thahekhu Village Council (TVC) has expressed displeasure at the snail’s pace of work of the ongoing interstate connectivity (ISC) project from Dhobinala to Assam border via Thahekhu village.
In a release, the TVC also alleged that the works are not being done according to specifications. In addition, culverts and retaining wall, drainages along the stretch of the road and a crucial bridge at Rangapahar Crossing connecting Dimapur town to Assam are still left untouched and neglected, it said.
The TVC urged the contractor concerned to hasten the work so as to complete it in stipulated time while the quality of work and the parts like bridges and culverts are also not compromised. It warned that in the event of failure on the part of the contractor, the TVC would be compelled to resort to own course of legal procedure. (Page News Service)
