Dimapur, July 13: The 31st Rotaract District 3240 Installation Ceremony of Tushar Jalan as head of 9 states (Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Manipur, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, Tripura and parts of West Bengal) & council was conducted via virtual platform on Sunday. The programme was attended by over 300 delegates from USA, Mauritius, Nigeria, Indonesia, Mexico, South Asia Countries and India.
Tushar Jalan hails from Guwahati and is a past alumni of Don Bosco High School Panbazar, Marias Public School, Faculty Amingaon & JGI Group Bangalore.
The chief guest of the event Subhasish Chatterjee, the District Governor of RID 3240, appreciated the installation of the district and the various initiatives pledged.
The DRFC gifted 50000 face masks to Rotaract Clubs of Rotaract District 3240.
The guest of honour Dr Bharat Pandya – Treasurer and Director of Rotary International congratulated Tushar Jalan on his planning, year goals & urged Rotaract District 3240 to focus on healthy living/positive health projects as youth organization.
Chandu Agarwal – Chief Advior, Saurab Deb Roy – District Rotaract Committee Chairman, Pulkit Bansal – District Rotaract Committee Co -Chairman, Karthik Kittu – Mentor & Yatin Sehgal – President, Rotaract South Asia MDIO were also present.
Amit More from Tinsukia, Rajarshi Sinha from Silchar and Homnath Dhungel from Gangtok also took oath as District secretary. Tushar Jalan hails from Rotarct Club of Guwahati Luit which hosted the virtual swearing-in ceremony “Pratishthan”.
