Dimapur, June 26: Chess coaching camp cum 1st Tuensang District chess championship inclusive of Shamator and Noklak district was held from June 22 to 25 at Tuensang, organized by Youth Resources and Sports Department in collaboration Nagaland Chess Association.
The results of the 1st Tuensang District chess championship is: Champion – Trongtsali Sangtam; 1st runner up – Haulim S Chang; 2nd runner up – Beso Chang; 4th – Lomchu Chingmak.
The Nagaland Chess Association also set up its unit, Tuensang District Chess Association, Shamator District Chess Association and Noklak District Chess Association and distributed 10 chess sets to all its units.

Shamator district Chess Association: President – R Shahoto; Vice President – K. Rekhum; General secretary – Bere Janger; Joint secretary – Shokum & Treasurer- Thanthong.
Noklak District Chess Association: President – Chuba; Vice President – Tsesam; General secretary – Hangchiu; Joint Secretary – Pheniang Lushing & Treasurer – L Imkhong Lam.
