Kohima, October 24: The Tsütuonuomia Khel, Kohima village is all set to observe its annual Khel Day on October 25 at Mission Compound at 1 p.m.
October 25 is a significant day in the history of the Khel as it commemorates the battle of 1879 and the subsequent Peace Treaty make between Tsütuonuomia Khel and the British. And thus, the T. Khel Day is organized to commemorate the Bravery and Resilience, Brotherhood and Peace, handed down by the Pioneers of the Khel, according to Khotuo Kevin Solo, member publicity committee, T. Khel Day.
The day will be marked with high spirits of cultural extravaganza, music and celebration.
The Khel is extending its sincere invitation to all its members near and far to be part of the celebration, particularly, a special invitation is extended to all its ‘Sisters’ married to the other Communities, ‘Brother-in-laws’ and all well-wishers.
Dr. Neiphi Kire, Chairman, Kohima Village Council will grace the occasion as the Special Guest while Viliethie Solo, Ex-Chairman, T. Khel Council, will be the Honour Guest for the T. Khel Nite, scheduled to be held in the evening at 5 p.m.
