Dimapur, April 17: Tenyimi Students’ Union Dimapur has lauded the decision of Naga Tribal Union Chumoukedima and Konyak Union on “One Government, One Tax and “No Unity, No Tax”.
“The bold declaration of both the Unions is the dire need of the hour as we have many splinter groups and anti social activities by some so called individuals with vested interests,” a press release issued by TSUD stated.
The Union also looked forward towards the able leadership of both the Hohos and other apex bodies to follow suit in repairing the fragmented Naga society.
It said the mushrooming of different factions for taxation under the guise of speaking for our rights has bought untold miseries to our society.
While acknowledging the efforts and sacrifices of some of the committed leaders in the different Naga political groups, the Union said it is time for us to come together and a time to heal.
It also appealed to all leaders to come together leaving their differences aside for the future of the generations to come. (Page News Service)
